Saturday March 11th was a very special day for us.  We finally opened the doors after completely restocking and revamping the workshop space.

Since the beginning of December we have just been operating online.  Being so busy on the run up to Christmas we were aware that shelves were bare and to be honest it was becoming a little embarassing when people came to visit with the hope of seeing some of our work.  As everything is handcrafted and with a couple of the designs taking two days to create it is hard to keep replenishing the shelves at such a busy time.  Drastic action was required.  We decided early in the New Year to close the physical doors and really concentrate on breathing some life into the display shelves and introduce some new designs.  The website was and is still fully operational and we also have alot of our smaller creations on our Etsy shop, therefore our customers were still able to get their Tinbox Angel fix using these platforms.  It was so important to offer the people who like to visit and feel the leathers something to see when they stepped inside. 

For the past two months have worked closely with our supplier to introduce some fantastic new leathers for the SPRING/SUMMER collection.  In January we did an online customer survey and asked our social media followers which colours they would choose from a selection which were appearing on the catwalk this year.  We chose the top 10 and invested heavily in some jaw dropping coloured hides, all supplied by our British suppliers.

The open day couldn"t have gone any better, and we had occasions when it was a tight squeeze in the workshop but a friendly squeeze.  A lot of familiar faces, and many of what I call "cheerleaders"of my business, people who really do keep me going when times get tough.  We also had a lot new faces who came to say hello. It was so lovely to breath some life back into our thick stone walls.

Moving forward we are opening the workshop every Friday and Saturday and everyone is welcome.  Come and have a look at what we do, what we are all about and maybe spot something you like.  We offer a same day personalisation service too which is great for gifts especially for that special someone in your life. We also offer a customisation service which allows you to upgrade design features on certain bags  just ask for more details (lead time for made to order 2-3 weeks ).
